Tiger Woods, new troubles with Erica Herman

New troubles for Tiger Woods. The golf star's lawyers will soon be in court in an attempt to stop a lawsuit brought by the sportsman's ex-girlfriend. Erica Herman, who was dumped by Woods a few months ago after six years of relationship, has asked for the cancellation of the confidentiality agreement signed with the golfer after the first meeting.

She was working as a manager at Woods' Florida restaurant when their romance began and she claims she signed the deal under duress because Tiger threatened to fire her if she didn't. However, Woods' lawyers deny this version.

Tiger Woods, story

"A boss who imposes different working conditions on his employee because of their relationship is harassment," says Benjamin Hodas, Erica Herman's defender. Tiger Woods' lawyer JB Murray denies the 47-year-old golfer ever assaulted or harassed his former partner, calling his allegations in court documents "absolutely without merit".

It is not known whether Woods will attend the hearing before District Judge Elizabeth Metzger, the first in what could turn out to be a long court battle. Eldrick Tont Woods (born December 30, 1975), better known as Tiger Woods, is an American golfer.

Considered among the best golfers of all time, as well as the best of the modern era, in his more than twenty-year career he won 110 professional tournaments, including 15 majors, making him the most successful player in history ; held the number one position in the OWG world rankings for a total of 683 weeks, 281 of which were consecutive weeks (from June 12, 2005 to October 30, 2010), and is the only golfer to have won all four majors in the modern era within a single year (between 2000 and 2001).

In 2014, he became the first sportsman in the world to surpass one billion dollars in earnings from wins and sponsorships.[5] He was later surpassed by Michael Jordan and his net worth is estimated at $1.8 billion as of 2023, making him the second highest paid sportsman ever.

In 2019, US President Donald Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States of America.
